Usenet News
Usenet News is a collection of discussion and conferencing groups used by
millions of people around the world. Newsgroup topics cover a wide
variety of interests from movie fan clubs to discussions about
university classes. There are thousands of newsgroups in which people post
and read articles. The University of Michigan Usenet News service is run
by the Information Technology Division and is offered to faculty, staff,
students and U-M Online members free of charge as a part of the
Basic Computing
Package. The newsgroups that are on the U of M server have been
requested by users.
